Renee Triangle Scarf Pattern

Happy Monday everyone! This patterns is a little more advanced for some of the new crocheters, but I just loved how it turned out so I had to post it first. This week will be filled with a few new posts, some wash cloths, pot holders, and possibly a scarf, all beginner friendly! I am very excited to share these with you!

However, I am obsessed with Lion Brand Mandala yarn. I could probably make about 300 of these scarfs/shawls if I had the yarn for it. This pattern creates a soft, squishy, cozy scarf. I added tassels to one and fell in love with that too. I am still learning on how to write out patterns, so if you have any questions, feel free to comment and I will do my best to clear things up.

What you need:

1 Skein of Lion Brand Mandala yarn (I used Unicorn on this one)

Size 6 mm Hook

Tapestry needle (Blunt with larger eye hole for yarn)

Scissors

Stitches Used:

Slst – slip stitch

DC – Double Crochet

*Shell Stitch* – 3 double crochets together

How to make the tassels:

I am sure there are much better ways to make these tassels, but the way that I did them was I wrapped the yarn loosely around the widest part of my hand about 10-12 times, slid it off my hand, and cut just the bottom of the yarn. I strung the strands of yarn through the corner and pulled them to where they are even on both sides, then tied off the top half with a smaller piece of yarn.

As I said before, this is my first pattern, and I am not sure how smooth it is actually written, but if anything seems wonky or isn’t going right, please leave a comment and I will do my best to figure out how to fix it.

If you do end up making this, use the hashtag #CreatingInTheMitten on Instagram and I will be able to see!

Thank you!

*The easiest way to wash this is to hand wash it, then toss it in the dryer with a few towels or something else to let it bounce off of. You can wash it in the washer, but my agitator in mine tugged on my other one a bit and I would hate for all of your hard work to be ruined*

((You are more than welcome to make and sell items for non commercial use made with my patterns, but do not repost my patterns or use my photos and make sure you link back to my blog. Thank you!))

    1. I am not sure what you mean by pointy enough, mine are pretty rounded, which is why I used the tassels =] Maybe if you only do two stitches in the top corners instead of 3?
