Valentine’s Day is the chosen day to celebrate love, but why wait all year to show your partner and your loved ones how much they mean to you? Use this free crochet pattern to make lots of these cute hearts and hand them out to everyone you like. The Lovely Crocheted Heart pattern is easy and quick and perfect to use your scrap yarn.
The purple heart is crocheted with light worsted yarn and a 3,5 mm crochet hook. It measures 9,5 by 9,5 cm (3,7 by 3,7 inches). The pink heart measures 6,5 by 6,5 cm (2,5 by 2,5 inches) and it is crocheted with 6 strand embroidery floss and a 2 mm crochet hook.
You will also need a needle to weave in loose ends and a pair of scissors.

Instructions
Make a magic ring (or ch 4 and join with sl st in first ch to form a ring).
- Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc), 2 dc in the ring, (ch 2, 3 dc in the ring) 3 times, ch 2, pull the thread end to tighten the ring, join with sl st in 3rd ch of first ch3.
- Round 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in next 2 dc, * in next ch-2 sp work (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) **, dc in next 3 dc; repeat from * 3 times and from * to ** once more, join with sl st in 3rd ch of first ch3.
- Round 3: Sl st in next 4 stitches and in next ch-2 sp, in 4th dc work 12 tr, sl st in next ch-2 sp, in 4th st work 12 tr, sl st in next ch-2 sp.
- Round 4: Ch 3 (counts as dc), dc in next 7 dc, in next ch-2 sp work (dc, htr, ch 2, htr, dc), dc in next 7 dc, dc in next ch-2 sp, dc in next 3 tr, 2 dc in next 6 tr, 2 hdc in next tr, sc in next tr, sl st in next tr, in next ch-2 sp (from Round 2) and in next tr, sc in next tr, 2 hdc in next tr, 2 dc in next 6 tr, dc in next 3 tr, join with sl st in 3rd ch of first ch3.
Fasten off and weave in loose ends.
