Spring Round Crochet Doily Pattern is great for beginners, easy to make, works up very quickly and doesn’t require a lot of yarn. This free crochet doily pattern is just the thing if you are looking for a simple and fun crochet project to get you through a difficult day.
You can change the look and size of your doily by using different yarn weights and hook sizes. I made the pink doily with crochet thread size 5 and a 2 mm crochet hook. Its final size is 14,5 cm (5,7 inches) in diameter. The white doily is smaller. It is crocheted with cotton thread size 10 and a 1,5 mm crochet hook. It measures 11,5 cm (4,5 inches) in diameter.
Besides your chosen thread and crochet hook, you will also need a needle to weave in loose ends and a pair of scissors.

Instructions
Make a magic ring.
- Round 1: Ch1, 8 sc in the ring, pull the thread end to tighten the ring, join with sl st in first sc.
- Round 2: Ch1, 2 sc in each sc around, join with sl st in first sc.
- Round 3: Ch 1, sc in same stitch, 2 sc in next sc, (sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc) around, join with sl st in first sc. (24 sc)
- Round 4: Ch 1, sc in same st, * ch 3, skip next sc, sc in next sc; repeat from * 12 times omitting the very last sc, join with sl st in first sc.
- Round 5: Sl st in next ch-3 sp, ch 1, in each ch-3 sp around work (sc, dc, ch 1, dc, sc), join with sl st in first sc.
- Round 6: Sl st in next dc and in next ch-1 sp, ch 1, sc in same sp, * ch 2, dc between next 2 sc, ch 2, sc in next ch-1 sp; repeat from * 12 times omitting the very last sc, join with sl st in first sc.
- Round 7: Ch 1, in each ch-2 sp around work (sc, ch 2, sc), join with sl st in first sc.
- Round 8: Sl st in next ch-2 sp, ch 1, sc in same sp, (ch 3, sc in next ch-2 sp) 23 times, ch 1 and join with hdc in first sc to create last ch-3 sp of the round.
- Round 9: Ch 1, sc in same sp, (ch 4, sc in next ch-3 sp) 23 times, ch 1 and join with dc in first sc to create last ch-4 sp of the round.
- Round 10: Ch 1, sc in same sp, (ch 5, sc in next ch-4 sp) 23 times, ch 2 and join with dc in first sc to create last ch-5 sp of the round.
- Round 11: Ch 8 (counts as dc and ch-5 sp), (dc in next ch-5 sp, ch 5) around, join with sl st in 3rd ch of first ch8.
- Round 12: Sl st in next ch-5 sp, ch 3 (counts as dc), 8 dc in same sp, * ch 1, sc in next ch-5 sp, ch 1 **, 9 dc in next ch-5 sp; repeat from * 11 times and from * to ** once more, join with sl st in 3rd ch of first ch3.
- Round 13: Ch 4 (counts as dc and ch-1 sp), (dc in next dc, ch 1) 7 times, dc in next dc, * (dc in next dc, ch 1) 8 times, dc in next dc; repeat from * around, join with sl st in 3rd ch of first ch4.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
