Special techniques:

Cross Double Crochet Stitch:

Cross Double crochet stitch is worked by crocheting dc’s in such a fashion that they form an X, leaving you with a beautiful textured pattern.

To create this stitch, we always need to work in multiples of 2.

After making the base of the phone cover, do the following:

Row 1: Ch 3 (counts as first dc), *skip 1 st, work 1 dc in next st, crossing in front of dc just made, work 1 dc in skipped st*,rep from * to * across the row till you have 1 stitch left, work 1 dc into last st and finish off row with sl st into the top of ch 3.

Repeat row 1 till desired length.

Remember: while crocheting this stitch, you will always begin with a ch 3 (which will count as your first dc) and end with a dc in the last stitch.

Size:

  • Approx: Height – 6 1/2” = 16 1/2
  • width 3 1/8” = 8 cm
