This small round motif is a very easy and quick project and a perfect way to use your scrap yarn. Enjoy crocheting this free crochet pattern and feel free to get creative with any colors and variations of yarn that you want.
Both motifs in the photo are crocheted with embroidery thread and a hook 1,5 mm. They measure 7,5 cm (3 inches) in diameter. You can change the look and size of your motifs by using different yarn weights and hook sizes.
Besides your chosen yarn and crochet hook, you will also need a needle to weave in loose ends and a pair of scissors.

Instructions
Make a magic ring.
- Round 1:Â Ch 3 (counts as dc), 23 dc in the ring, pull the thread end to close the ring (as much as needed), join with sl st in 3rd ch of first ch3. (24 dc total)
- Round 2:Â Ch 5 (counts as dc and ch-2 sp), * skip next dc, dc in next dc, ch 2; repeat from * around, join with sl st in 3rd ch of first ch5.
- Round 3: Sl st in next ch-2 sp, ch 3 (counts as dc), 3 dc in same sp, ch 1, * 4 dc in next ch-2 sp, ch 1; repeat from * around, join with sl st in 3rd ch of first ch3.
- Round 4: Sl st in next dc, ch 1, sc in next dc, ch 3, sc in next ch-1 sp, * ch 3, skip next 2 dc, sc in next dc, ch 3, sc in next ch-1 sp; repeat from * 11 times, ch 1 and join with hdc in first sc to create last ch-3 sp of the round.
- Round 5: Ch 1, sc in same sp, * ch 3, sc in next ch-3 sp; repeat from * 23 times, ch 1 and join with hdc in first sc to create last ch-3 sp of the round.
- Round 6: Ch 1, sc in same sp, * in next ch-3 sp work (3 dc, ch 1, 3 dc), sc in next ch-3 sp; repeat from * around omitting the very last sc, join with sl st in first sc.
Fasten off and weave in the ends.
