Free Crochet Pattern for American Girl and 18″ Dolls. These slippers are inspired by Kirsten’s sockor slippers from her collection. Interestingly, I read that a lady in Sweden hand felted the slippers for American Girl for a decade.

What you will need:

• #5 Bulky yarn-Knit Picks Wonderfluff 1 skein in Cobblestone Heather
• F (3.75 mm) hook
• Stitch marker
• Yarn needle
• Row counter
• Scissors

Gauge: 16 sc over 20 rows=4″ square

Instructions

Pattern is worked in continuous rounds. Place the marker at the beginning of each round.

Ch 11.

Row 1. Work 2 sc in the second ch from hook, sc in the next 8 chains, 2 sc in the last ch. Rotate and work down the opposite side of the chain row. 2 sc in the first ch on the opposite side (it will be the same chain you just worked in), sc in the next 9 chains. (23 sc)

Row 2. Work 2 sc in the next 2 sts, sc in the next 9 sts, 2 sc in the next 3 sts, sc in the next 9 sts. (28 sc)

Row 3. Sc in the next 2 sts, 2 sc in the next st, sc in the next 5 sts, hdc in the next 5 sts, 2 hdc in the next 5 sts, hdc in the next 5 sts, sc in the next 5 sts. (34 sts)

Row 4. Sc through the back loop in each st around. (34 sc)

Row 5. Sc in each st around. (34 sc)

Row 6. Sc in the next 17 sts, dec, dec, sc in the next 13 sts. (32 sc)

Row 7. Sc in the next 16 sts, dec, dec, sc in the next 12 sts. (30 sc)

Row 8. Sc in the next 15 sts, dec, dec, sc in the next 11 sts. (28 sc)

Row 9. Sc in the next 14 sts, dec, dec, sc in the next 10 sts. (26 sc)

Row 10-14. Sc in each st around. (26 sc)

Sl st to the next st. Fasten off. Weave in ends.

Repeat instructions for the second slipper.
