Whilst I have called this a crescent shawl the finished shape should be closer to 3/4 of a circle.
* This is the second version of the semi-circular shawl I made a few weeks ago, my mum had asked for the pattern so I decided to share it on my blog as well in case anyone else wanted to have a go at it. Please bear in mind that whilst I have made it twice it has not been test crocheted so if the maths don’t add up in any of the sections please feel free to let me know. The same goes for any instructions that do not make sense.
I love this and I’ve been looking for a light shawl pattern to wear with a sleeveless dress next month.
Thank you, glad you like it. Let me know how you get on with it if you decide to make it.
I just noticed that this pattern was written in UK crochet terms, so what should have been a US double crochet for the UK trbl (treble) was done wrong, yikes! so far it is gorgeous and i’m only on row 4, which means i will most likely have to start over again, or should i keep as is? Please advice on how i should proceed:)
I’m so glad you like the pattern. It’s probably not want you want to hear but I would frog it and start again. It will cause complications with the size of the shawl and amount of yarn you use. Lucky you spotted it on row 4 😀
Hi again! Yes you’re right, only being at row 4 was easier to take lol thank you again for replying and for the gorgeous pattern 😉😊
can you tell me what mean ss1 and ss1 ?
Hello ss1 means work one slip stitch (using English crochet terms) hope that helps.
