Hook: 4.5mm hook
Yarn: 4ply/ fingering weight yarn, 250g/ 1,200m
Tension: 6 rows x 16 sts = 4 inches working trebles.

Chain 8

Row 1: Starting with the 4th chain from the hook work 2 trbls in to each stitch (11sts) TURN

Row 2: Ch 3, trbl 1 in to same space, work 2 trbls in to each of the remaining stitches to end (22sts) TURN

Row 3: Ch 3, trbl 1 in to same space, work 1 trbl in to next stitch, * work 2 trbls in to next stitch then 1 trbl in to the next stitch**, repeat from * to ** to end (33sts) TURN

Whilst I have called this a crescent shawl the finished shape should be closer to 3/4 of a circle.

* This is the second version of the semi-circular shawl I made a few weeks ago, my mum had asked for the pattern so I decided to share it on my blog as well in case anyone else wanted to have a go at it. Please bear in mind that whilst I have made it twice it has not been test crocheted so if the maths don’t add up in any of the sections please feel free to let me know. The same goes for any instructions that do not make sense.
