Sweetie Pie Bow Headband Crochet Pattern
Lately I’ve been devoting my time to learning more and more crochet stitches that closely resemble the appearance of some of my favourite knitting stitches.
My latest endeavour has been mastering the art of the tunisian knit stitch, and I’ve been loving every single second of it!
So to test out my new skills I decided to create yet another 1920’s inspired pattern, a sweetie pie bow headband!
Have you learned any new crochet stitches or techniques of late?
What You’ll Need
Taking your 8.00mm crochet hook and DK yarn, start of by making a Slip Knot, then crochet 18 Chains.
Row 1~ Skip 1 chain. Crochet Tunisian Knit Stitch into every chain across.
Row 2 – 78~, Crochet Tunisian Knit Stitch into every stitch across. {Note: I have an easy video tutorial below on how to crochet the tunisian knit stitch.}
them together. Once
the band is slip stitched together, fold the slip stitched part towards
the inside.
Before you start crocheting your bow you’ll need to create a ruched
section at the front of your headband. Taking your fingers, pinch
together the inside of your headband and sew them together.
Your knot will later on be sewed over this ruched section. {Note: Below are
photos of how the ruched section should look on the inside and outside.}

Thank you so much for this. With tunisian crochet I always have the problem that the edges curl terribly. How did you avoid that?
