Multiples of the stitch
This stitch is done in multiples of 8 + 5
To Start
ch in multiples as mentioned above, if you are planning on making a scarf I recommend chaining 256 + 5 = 261
Row 1
sc 2nd ch from the hook, sc into next 3 sts. * Ch 4, skip 4, sc in next 4 sts * repeat until end of row. You should end with 4 single crochets.
Row 2
Grab your next color and chain the same multiples you used before. If you chained 261, then do so again with the new color.
sc 2nd ch from the hook, sc into next 3 sts. * Ch 4, weave your chain from the back and through the ch 4 space on previous row, skip 4 sts and sc in the next 4 sts * repeat until end of row. You should end with 4 single crochets.
Repeat row 2 until desired size is reached.
For my scarf I did 10 rows total.
This is what it looks like if you use Double crochets instead of Single crochets. You only have to change the multiple:
This stitch is done in multiples of 8 + 6
