Lacy Summer Scarf with Treble Shells, Crochet Pattern and Video Tutorial

Here in Northern California it already feels like summer! My favorite yarn to work with during hot summer months is 100% mercerized cotton, either category 2 or 3.

I like crocheting light airy scarves and shawls in lacy designs.

The first such scarf of this summer is worked with treble shells.

The scarf has a beautiful soft drape!

The skill level is advanced beginner! There are only two repeating rows in the pattern, which are easy to remember. The treble shells look lovely facing both up and down.

On the ends of the scarf, I used double crochets for a simple, yet classy edge, which gives the scarf a sophisticated and finished look.

The yarn that I used for this scarf is YarnArt Begonia. This is a category 2, 100% mercerized cotton, which comes in a huge variety of beautiful colors.

The hook size is D (3.25 mm)

The written pattern for this scarf is available in my Etsy and Ravelry shops.

And as always with my patterns, I also filmed a detailed video tutorial, which is available free on my Youtube channel

Crochet Cottagecore Lace Edging, Crochet Thread Size 3

Today I invite you to crochet with me a romantic, cottage core lacy trim or edging, which can be used for a variety of projects.

It can be added to the hem of a summer dress, to pillowcases and flat sheets; it can be used to decorate shelves, or for any other cottage style idea.

100% mercerized cotton thread size size 3 on Amazon.
Crochet hook size D (3.25 mm) on Amazon.

The written pattern is available in my Etsy and Ravelry shops.

I also have a very detailed video tutorial on Youtube.

Crochet Lacy Stitch for Spring and Summer Projects

Here in Northern California spring is already in the air!

With the trees blooming and the vividly green color everywhere around, I was inspired to crochet a light lacy stitch, which would be perfect for spring and summer projects!

The pattern is not as complicated as it seems!

The are only two repeating rows in the pattern, and the lacy stitch looks the same on both sides!

I worked with 100% mercerized cotton thread size 3 and a hook size D (3.25 mm).

The written pattern is available in my Etsy and Ravelry shops!

I also filmed a detailed tutorial, which you can watch for free on Youtube

Field of Daisies, Crochet Motif for a Tablecloth, Video Tutorial and Symbol Chart

Recently I've been enjoying crocheting with white thread, but I thought it would be fun to have little splashes of color in my thread crochet projects now and then!

So here it is, a bit of yellow in the middle of a daisy flower motif!

These motifs would make such a gorgeous tablecloth or, as one viewer of my Youtube channel suggested, a lacy curtain for a sunroom!

The motif measures about 4 inches across. It is very easy and quick to crochet!

I used Red Heart Crochet Classic Thread size 10 and crochet hook 1.6 mm.

I recently started sketching symbol charts for my projects (in addition to filming video tutorials), and so many of my viewers and followers find they very useful!

You can watch my video tutorial on Youtube (the symbol chart is included in the video)!

Or you can purchase the symbol chart in a PDF format from my Etsy or Ravelry shops.
