CH: Chain- Yarn over pull through one loop.

SS: Slip stitch- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over and pull through both the stitch and loop on the hook.close

SC: Single crochet- Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over. Pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops.

DC: Double crochet- Yarn over. Insert hook into stitch. Yarn over pull through stitch. Yarn over pull through two loops. Yarn over pull through two loops.

Instructions:

Chain 9

Row 1: Sc in second chain from hook and each chain across. (8)

Row 2 – 26(28): Chain 1. Sc in the BLO across.

Connect Row 26(28) to Row 1 by folding piece in half and joining with a series of SSs.

Round 1: Chain 2. Repeat Dc. Sc. in the side of each row around. Join with a SS to the first Dc made. (26(28))

Round 2: Chain 1. *Sc. Dc.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Sc made. (26(28))

Round 3: Chain 2. *Dc. Sc.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Dc made. (26(28))

Round 4 – 7: Repeat round 2 – 3.

Round 8: Repeat Round 2:

Round 9: Chain 2. (Dc. Sc.) x’s 5. Dc in the next stitch. Chain 2. Skip the next 4 stitches. Sc in the next stitch. *Dc. Sc.* Repeat from * to * around. Join with a SS to the first Dc made.

Round 10 – 13: Repeat Rounds 2 – 3.
