This crochet slouchy hat pattern is perfect for the summer weather. Notice the crochet flower motif in the center of the hat. It gives you that perfect “Spring/ Summer” vibe. The stitches are nicely spaced, which allows for easy air flow. We will be using the Double crochets & treble crochets to complete this hat. You will need about 250 yard of yarn

Materials
#4 worsted weight 250 yards
5 mm hook
Scissors
Yarn needle
Gauge: Round 1-3 = 3.5 inches
Stitches
Sl st- Slip Stitch
Ch- Chain
Sc- Single Crochet
Dc- Double Crochet
Tr- Treble Crochet
Specialty Stitches:
Tr3tog- Treble Crochet 3 Together:*yo twice, insert hook into next st, yo, pull up a loop, (yo, draw through 2 loops) twice, repeat from * two more times, yo, draw through all loops on hook.
Ch, 6 sl st in first ch to form a ring.
Round 1: Ch 3 (counts as dc),15 dc in ring, sl st in first dc to join. (16 sts)
Round 2: Ch 1, (sc, ch 3, skip next sc) around, sl st in first sc to join. (8 Ch sps) (Video 2:38)
Round 3: Sl st into the ch-3 sp, ch 1, (sc, ch 1, 3 dc, ch 1, sc) in each ch-3 sp around, sl st in first sc to join.(56 sts) (Video 3:53)
Note: Check gauge
Round 4: Sl st into the ch-1 sp & next 2 sts, ch 1, sc into the same st, ch 6, *skip 6 sts, sc in next st, ch 6*, repeat *to* around, sl st to the first sc to join. (8 ch sps) (Video 5:46)
Round 5: Sl st into the ch-6 sp, ch 1, *7 dc in ch sp, ch 2, (tr3tog, ch 2) 3 times in next ch space,* repeat from *to* around, sl st in first dc to join. (28 dc, 12 tr3tog, 16 ch sps) (Video 7:45)
Note: Pattern slightly different in video. In video, ch-3 is used to start the row, please follow written pattern.
Round 6: Ch 1, *Dc in the next 7 st, 2 dc in ch-2 sp, 5 dc in the next ch-2 sp, 5 dc the next ch-2 sp, 2 dc in next ch-2 sp,* rep from *to* around, sl st in first dc to join. (84 sts) (Video 14:45)
Round 7: Ch 5 (counts as tr + ch 1 throughout ), sk 1, tr, ch 1,* sk 1, tr, ch 1,* rep *to* around, sl st into the ch-4 st to join. (42 tr) (Video 16:44)
Round 8: Sl st in ch-1 sp, ch 5,* tr in next ch-1sp, ch1,* rep *to* around, sl st to into the ch-4 st to join. (Video 18:20)
Round 9: Sl st in ch-1 sp, ch 4 (counts as tr), tr in the same ch-1 sp, *2 tr in next ch-1 sp,* rep from *to* around, sl st into the ch-4 st to join. (84) (Video 19:54)
Round 10-14: Repeat round 7-9 two times (ending on round 8)
Round 15: Ch 1, sc in each ch-1 sp around, sl st to join. (42) (video 22:00)
*Note: If brim is too tight go up a hook size for the remaining 3 rows
Round 16-17: Ch 1, sc in each st around, sl st to join, fasten off when complete.
