Quick and Easy Pebble Christmas Tree Crochet Pattern

I am so excited to share the Pebble Christmas Tree Crochet Pattern with you!

At a glance, you'd think that it is just another bobble pattern, but in fact, it is a bit easier.

There are so many uses for this pattern.  You can:

  • Fill your Christmas tree with your own little handmade hanging trees in the color of your choice;
  • or crochet 10 or so of the Pebble Christmas trees and use it as a bunting;
  • Something I like, is to add it to my gifts; and
  • remember that it is always an inexpensive gift on it's own.

Check out this post for a detailed description to crochet Pebble Stitch.  For a video tutorial, I shared one in Instagram Reels.

*PUFF STITCH:

The stitch to create the bobbles is called Puff Stitch and you crochet it like this:

  • Yarn over,
  • insert hook in the specified stitch, and pull up a loop,
  • do this 2 more times = 7 loops on the hook.
  • Yarn over and pull through all loops.

The puffs/pebbles are created on the wrong side to stand out on the right side of your work.

to decrease (dec):

To single crochet decrease at the beginning of a row:

Start to make a single crochet stitch but STOP just before pulling the loop through the 2 loops on the hook.

Place the hook into the next stitch (second st) and pull up a loop. Now there are 3 loops on the hook.

Yarn over and pull through all 3 loops.

To single crochet decrease at the end of a row:

In the second last st of the row, start making a single crochet stitch but STOP just before pulling the loop through the 2 loops on the hook.

Place the hook into the next stitch (last st) and pull up a loop. Now there are 3 loops on the hook.

Yarn over and pull through all 3 loops.
