12 Inch Granny Square: Meredith Square

I’m excited to be joining the #MOOGLYCAL2021 with a 12 inch granny square pattern, the Meredith Square! This square has a boldly textured center. If you’re new to bobbles and crossed double crochet stitches, don’t worry! I’ve got you covered with video tutorials.

Tamara from Moogly is one of my real world fiber friends, and I’m so excited to be joining her annual blanket crochet along again! You can get all the information about the 2021 Moogly Crochet Along here.

My regular readers know that 2021 has been all about texture for me! So when I designed the Bobble Symbols Square for the Textures and Tassels Blanket Mystery Crochet Along, I kind of fell in love with the big bobble-y center. I wanted to recreate it in 12 inch granny square, and that’s where the idea for the Meredith Block was born.

My version is in 2 colors, but Tamara from Moogly made her version in 4 colors. How many colors will your version have? You can read Tamara’s notes on this square here.

If you make your own Meredith Square, I’d love to see it! Share your progress and questions by tagging me on Facebook as @Underground Crafter, Instragram as @ucrafter, or Twitter as @ucrafter.
