  • James C. Brett’s “Fairground DK“, 100% acrylic, 252 yds per 100g: 2 skeins colorshade G7, approx. 300 yds used
  • Suggested hook: G-6 [4.25mm]
  • Yarn needle (for weaving ends)

In stitch pattern, 24 sts for 11 rows measures 4″.

Crochet Pattern Instructions

Row 1: Ch 36, sk 1 ch, sc in next ch, ch 2, sk 2 ch, sc in next ch, *ch 3, sk 3 ch, sc in next ch, rep from * to last 3 ch, ch 2, sc in last ch, turn.

Row 2 (RS): Ch 3, sk sc, 2 dc in ch-2 sp, *ch 2, sc in next ch-3 sp, ch 2, 4 dc in next ch-3 sp, rep from * to last ch-3 sp, ch 2, sc in ch-3 sp, ch 2, 2 dc in ch-2 sp, dc in last sc, turn.

Row 3: Ch 3, sk first 2 dc, sc in next dc, *ch 3, sc in first dc of next 4-dc group, ch 3, sk 2 dc, sc in next dc of same 4-dc group, rep from * to last sc, ch 3, sc in next dc, ch 2, sc in top of beg ch 3, turn.
