Instructions:  We made new stylish crochet Baby Beanie Ribbing Hat with earflaps  for 9-18 months size, you can easily to change the size as you want to make it, we explain in details about the sizes 0-3 months /3-6 months and 9-18.  explain patterns and video tutorial below.. We add two of the colors in this sweater and Baby Beanie hat, you can chose any of other colors according to your taste. We used light DK weight wool 4ply with 5mm(H) crochet hook for this baby beanie hat. Size of the hat we mention below in the pattern. This baby elegant hat started bottom to top, we add simple stitch for the pattern, it’s very easy to start, we mention below about all sizes,  if you need a smaller or larger sizes, so, you can follow my other crochet ideas we mention below. We add a beautiful super easy my favorite pattern at front, explain in details hope you will like it.

changing for Sizes:

0-3 Months: Rib Band Size: 12 inches /Height Hat 5.5 inches

3-6 Months: Rib Band Size:14 inches /Height Hat 6 inches

9-18 Months: Rib Band Size:16 inches /Height Hat 6.5-7 inches

Toddler & Small Child (Approximately 1 to 5 years - 
 Rib Band Size: Hat Circumference = 18  / Height hat = 7.25 inches

Child (Approximately 5 to 10 years - 
 Rib Band Size: Hat Circumference = 18 and 1/2 inches/  Height hat = 7.5 inches

Teen / Small Adult :  Hat Circumference = 19 inches / Height hat = 8 inches

Medium Adult :  Hat Circumference = 20 inches/ Height hat = 8 inches

Large Adult :Hat Circumference = 21.75 inches Height hat = 8.25"

Item to be need:

wool: 80-100 Grams DK Weight Acrylic 4 ply yarn (16-20 = 4 inches)

Crochet hook size:  5mm(H) 

 Size:      0-3 months/ 3-6 months /9-18 months Infant Baby

Gauge:  4 hdc stitches x 3.5 rows = 1 inch

 Pattern for gauge:  

Hat Circumference = 16 inches/ Height hat = 6 and 1/2 inches

 Special stitch:

1.     1-Check out the size of beginning Ribbing band before sewing,

Color B:

US TERMS ABBREVIATIONS:

Make Rib band:

Make chains 6,

Round 1- sc into 2nd ch, 1 sc in each next 4 chains, turn work.(5sc)

Round 2- ch1, sc into same st into back loop, 1 sc in each next 4 sts into back 

loop across,Turn work.(5sc)

Round 3-56: Repeat and follow Round 3.

9-18 months size Measurement of Rib band= 16 inches

Now close the band.

Hat top part:

Work. Hold both edging of rib last row and first row together to sew it make slip st in

Each St across into 5 sts, don’t stop continue working into edging of rib band.

Round 1- ch1, make 1 sc in each st into every row across, do slip st to join into 

1st ch, turn work.(56 sc)

Change color A:

Round 2- ch1 not count, make 1 hdc in each st across to end, slip st to join. 

Turn work.(56 hdc)

Round3-6: Repeat and Follow Round 2 of hat top part.

Chang color B:

Round 7- ch1, *make front post hdc into next st, back post hdc into next st*, Repeat

From * to * around, do slip st to join into ch 1, turn work.(56)

Change color A:

Round 8-11: Repeat and Follow Round 2 of hat top part.(56)

Change color B:

Round12- Repeat and Follow Round 7 of Hat top part, turn work.(56)

Round 13- Repeat and Follow Round 2 of hat top part, turn work.(56)

Round 14- ch1,*make 1 hdc in each next 4 sts, make 2 hdc together next*, repeat

From * to * around, do slip st to join into ch. turn work (48)

Round15- ch1,*make 1 hdc in each next 3 sts, make 2 hdc together next*, repeat

From * to * around, do slip st to join into ch. turn work (36)

Round16- ch1,*make 1 hdc in each next 2 sts, make 2 hdc together next*, repeat

From * to * around, do slip st to join into ch. turn work (28)

Round17- ch1,*make 1 hdc into next st, make 2 hdc together next*, repeat

From * to * around, do slip st to join into ch. turn work (18)

Round18- ch1,*make 1 hdc into next st, make 2 hdc together next*, repeat

From * to * around, do slip st to join into ch. turn work (12)

Round19- ch1, make hdc 2 together around 6 times, do slip st to join. Fasten off

Sew on top of hat, use whip stitch for sewing to close the top of hat.

Make ear flaps:

Mark up 10 stitches, leave 18 stitches, then mark next 10 stitches for 2nd earflap,

 Join yarn into mark stitch of round 2 hdc round, into wrong side facing to start work

Row 1- join color A, into mark st, ch1, make 1 sc into same st, 1 sc in each

Next 9 sts to next mark st, then turn wok. (10 sc)

Row 2- ch1 count sc, make 1 sc in each next 7 sts , sc to together next, turn work

(9 sc)

Row 3- ch1 count sc, make 1 sc in each next 6 sts , sc to together next, turn work

(8 sc)

Row 4- ch1 count sc, make 1 sc in each next 5 sts , sc to together next, turn work

(7 sc)

Row 5- ch1 count sc, make 1 sc in each next 4 sts , sc to together next, turn work

(6 sc)

Row 6- ch1 count sc, make 1 sc in each next 3 sts , sc to together next, turn work

(5 sc)

Row 7- ch1 count sc, make 1 sc in each next 2 sts , sc to together next, turn work

(4 sc)

Row 8- ch1 count sc, make 1 sc in each next 1 st , sc to together next, turn work

(3 sc)

Row 9- ch1, sc in each next 2 sts, turn work, (3sc)

Row 10- ch1, sc in each next 2 sts, slip st. fasten off

Make edging of flap.

join yarn into base of 1st st, make sc in each row of flap edging, then across 

top 3 sts, then across other side edging of flap, then finish off.

Second Ear Flap:

Leave 18 stitches then mark next 10 sts for 2nd earflap, follow the same work

As worked into 1st earflap.

Finishing: Make tassels for hat then join into both flaps.
