What You’ll Need
10.00mm Crochet Hook
3 Colours of 150g 8ply {DK} Yarn ~OR~ Bulky Yarn
Finished Size:
Start of by taking your cream yarn and 10.00mm crochet hook and make a Slip Knot, then crochet 80 Chains with 2 strands of yarn. {You’ll continue using 2 strands of yarn for this entire project. But, if you’d like to use Bulky yarn instead of 8ply yarn, you only need to use 1 strand of yarn}
Row 1~ Chain 2, skip 2 chains from your hook, then crochet Half Double Crochets all across into every chain.
Row 2 – 5~ Chain 2, Half Double Crochets into every stitch across.
Row 6 – 10~ Change to your blue yarn, then Chain 2 and Half Double Crochets into every stitch across.
Row 11 – 15~ Change to your maroon yarn, then Chain 2 and Half Double Crochets into every stitch across.
Row 16 – 20~ Change to your cream yarn, then Chain 2 and Half Double Crochets into every stitch across.
Row 21 – 25~ Change to your blue yarn, then Chain 2 and Half Double Crochets into every stitch across.
Row 26 – 30~ Change to your maroon yarn, then Chain 2 and Half Double Crochets into every stitch across.
When you’ve completed all the rows, connect the two ends of the scarf together to create a circle {thus a circle scarf} and Slip Stitch them together.
Fasten off, and weave in ends.
~ Button Band ~
Row 2 – 5~ Chain 2, Half Double Crochets into every stitch across.
you’ve completed all the rows, connect the two ends of the band
together to create a circle around your scarf. Taking your tapestry
needle, sew the two ends of the band together at the back of the
scarf. Then taking your button, sew it onto your band.
Hope you all enjoyed this pattern!

This is a stolen pattern posted for free. What a shame!

No one pays attention to anything you have to say Anonymous when you hide behind the "anonymous name".
One person creates a pattern, then another comes along and makes some changes to it and thus creating another pattern, then another comes along and makes changes and thus creating yet another pattern… 3 different patterns were inspired by 1 starting pattern, all 3 have differences and yet in so many ways look the same…
So you see Anonymous you don't know anything, your just trying to destroy this woman' creditability… SHAME ON YOU

Love this scarf! I just finished making a shorter version for a gift. Thank you so much for sharing how you made this.
@ Anonymous – really? A stolen pattern? Give me a break … is every chocolate chip cookie a stolen recipe? every pair of jeans a stolen design? every cell phone a stolen piece of technology? you get the idea.

Do you need 150g of each color? Approximately how much of each color would you need for bulky yarn? Is one skein of each color enough?
Olivia says
Yes, you need 150g of each colour. You'd probably need about 150g of Bulky yarn too.
It depends how many grams there is in one skein 🙂
Anonymous says
how do you manage crocheting with 2 strands at once? (ie. do you unravel the entire skein to begin with and start in the middle?) Also how did you change colors so beautifully?

Thank you so much for the pattern of this cowl neck scarf.. I have been looking for something very similiar to this.. I have a small etsy shop (Hobby ) and hope to make a a few to sell. I will definately give you credit for the pattern and feel blessed to have found it. Any suggestions for actual yarn brands and name that would work the best.? Thanks again and again

Are these using British names for stitches or American?
