Materials
100 grams of King Cole big value baby DK in each colour
(I used White 001, Sky 005  & Blush 223)

OR
3.5oz of Worsted Weight Yarn in each colour
(White, sky & blush)
4.00mm, 4.50mm & 5.00mm crochet hooks
1 medium Toggle Button

GAUGE - 6sc and 7 rows of sc measures approx 1” square

Diaper Bag - With 5.00mm hook and white color yarn, ch100, change to 4.50mm hook
and work 1sc in 2nd ch from hook, * skip 1ch, 2sc in next ch, * rpt from * to * to last 2ch,
skip 1ch, 1sc in last ch. Turn. (98sc)

Pattern Row - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, * skip 1sc, 2sc in next sc, * rpt from * to * to last
sc, 1sc in last sc. Turn.

The last row forms the pattern, rpt Pattern Row in color sequence as follows:-

2 rows in White
6 rows in blush
2 rows in White

Rpt from # # to # # three more times, followed by 6 rows in sky and 1 row in white. Turn.

Work Pattern Row to last sc, 3sc in last sc, working in row ends down first side of bag,
work 1sc in each row end to corner, 3sc in corner, 1sc in each cast on ch along to end,
3sc in last ch, 1sc in each row end up second side of bag. Turn.

Flap - Work Pattern Row once in white color yarn over next 72sc. Turn.

Next Row - ch1, sl st over next 3sc, ch1, 1sc in base of ch, skip 1sc, work Pattern Row
to last 3sc, 1sc in next sc, turn leaving 2sc un-worked. Fasten off.

Using 4.00mm hook, Join in sky color yarn and work Pattern Row 30 more times.
Fasten off. Turn. (72sc)

Buttonhole Band - Skip 26sc, re-join sky color yarn to next sc, work ch1, 1sc in base
of ch1, Pattern Row across 18sc, 1sc in next sc, turn leaving 26sc un-worked. Turn.
(20sc) Work Pattern Row once. Turn.

Buttonhole - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc across next 8sc, ch2, skip 3sc, 1sc in each
of next 9sc, 1sc in last sc. Turn. Working 2sc in ch2 loop, work Pattern Row twice more. Fasten off.

Edge Flap & Buttonhole Band
With RS facing, starting on row ends at top of flap with white color yarn and 4.00mm hook, (see diagram below) sl st to main piece, work 1sc in each row end to corner, 3sc in corner, 1sc in each of next 25sc to buttonhole band, 1sc in each row end up side of buttonhole band, 3sc in corner, 1sc in each sc along top, 3sc in corner, 1sc in each row end down
side of buttonhole band, 1sc in each of next 25sc along to corner, 3sc in corner, 1sc in
each row end up side of flap to end, sl st to main piece. Turn. Working 3sc in all corners, work one more row in sc to end, sl st to main piece. Fasten off.











Strap - With 5.00mm hook and white color yarn, ch251, change to 4.50mm hook, 1sc
in 2nd ch from hook, * skip 1ch, 2sc in next ch, * rpt from * to * to last 2ch, skip 1ch, 1sc in last ch. Fasten off. Turn. (250sc)

Rpt Pattern Rows as follows:-

4 more times in blush.
Once more in White. Turn.

Strap Edging - ch1, 1sc in base of ch1, 1sc in sc to end, 1sc in each row end down side
of strap, 1sc in each of the starting ch, 1sc in each row end up second side of bag, sl st
to first sc. Fasten off. Place a different color marker on each side of strap, approx 46sc
from each end. (See diagram below)












Finishing - Attach strap by slip stitching though sc's on bag and strap, working from first marker around to the second marker. Sew and tie off loose ends of yarn, attach toggle Button on bag to correspond with buttonhole.
