Large Crochet Fan Stitch – Fans in a Row Lacy Shawl – Free Crochet Pattern

I’ve always wanted to make a wrap or shawl with a Large Crochet Fan Stitch. I love the look of the large shell crocheted in a row like this. I found a crochet stitch pattern that worked great with this idea so I had to give it a try. This crochet Shell Stitch Shawl I named the Fans in a Row Lacy Shawl, I hope you like this one!

To Start:

Chain 178 loosely – You must watch your tension here or else this beginning chain will be shorter than the stitches and cause them to pull tighter than your next row and you don’t want that.

1 thought on “Large Crochet Fan Stitch – Fans in a Row Lacy Shawl – Free Crochet Pattern”

  1. Hi – I love the look of this shawl!
I’m to row 5, and up to picture 16 I’m good, but then I think there are a couple of CH counts missing:
    Row 5 ( pictures 15 – 24 )

… picture 16, skip 3 sts and sc as shown in picture 17, skip 2 sts and sc….

The pictures look like there should be two Ch 5 before the skips –

    Thank you!
