Materials: Knit Picks (affiliate link) Chroma fingering weight yarn (70% wool, 30% nylon), 100 gr / 396 yards (362 m), color New England – 1 ball

Hook: E (3.25 mm)

Scarf

Star

Ch 10, join with sl st to make a ring
Round 1: ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), 23 dc into the ring, sl st to ch 3.
Round 2: ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), 1 dc into next 3 dc, *ch 8, 1 dc into next 4 dc, repeat from * 4 more times, ch 4, 1 dtr into ch 3.
Round 3: ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), 7 dc under dtr, *1 sc into 2nd and 3rd  dc, (8 dc, ch 3, 8 dc)  into ch-8, repeat from * 4 more times, 1 sc into 2nd and 3rd dc, 8 dc into ch-8, ch 3, sl st to ch 3.

Half Star

Ch 6, turn, sl st to ch-3-sp,
Row 1: ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), sl st to 3rd dc from the end, 15 dc into ch-6, turn.
Row 2: ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), 1 dc into next dc, *ch 8, 1 dc into next 4 dc, repeat from * 2 more times, ch 8, 1 dc into last 2 dc, turn.
Row 3: 1 sc into the 2nd dc of the last ray of the star (see chart), 8 dc into ch 8, ch 1, 1 sc into ch-3-sp of the 5th ray of the star (see chart), ch 1, 8 dc into the same ch-8-sp, *1 sc into 2nd and 3rd dc, (8 dc, ch 3, 8 dc) into ch-8-sp, repeat from *2 more times, 1 sc into ch 3 of row 2, turn.

Second Half Star

Sl st back along over each of 8 dc to ch-3-sp (see chart), ch 6, sl st to sl st over the last dc, turn.
Row 1: ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), sl st to sl st over 4th dc, 15 dc into ch-6-sp, turn.
Row 2: ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), 1 dc into next dc, *ch 8, 1 dc into next 4 dc, repeat from * 2 more times, ch 8, 1 dc into last 2 dc, turn.
Row 3: 1 sc into the sl st over the 2nd dc of the last ray  of the first half star (see chart), 8 dc into ch 8, ch 1, 1 sc into ch-3-sp of the 1st ray of the star (see chart), ch 1, 8 dc into the same ch-8-sp, *1 sc into 2nd and 3rd dc, (8 dc, ch 3, 8 dc) into ch-8-sp, repeat from *2 more times, 1 sc into ch 3 of row 2, turn.

Third Half Star

Sl st back along over each of 8 dc to ch-3-sp (see chart), ch 6, sl st to sl st over the last dc, turn.
Row 1: ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), sl st to sl st over 4th dc, 15 dc into ch-6-sp, turn.
Row 2: ch 3 (counts as 1 dc), 1 dc into next dc, *ch 8, 1 dc into next 4 dc, repeat from * 2 more times, ch 8, 1 dc into last 2 dc, turn.
Row 3: 1 sc into the sl st over the 2nd dc of the last pointed part of the first half star (see chart), 8 dc into ch 8, ch 1, 1 sc into ch-3-sp of the 2nd pointed part of the first half star (see chart), ch 1, 8 dc into the same ch-8-sp, *1 sc into 2nd and 3rd dc, (8 dc, ch 3, 8 dc) into ch-8-sp, repeat from *2 more times, 1 sc into ch 3 of row 2, turn.
Repeat rows 1-3 of the Third Half Star 14 times or to desired length. Tie off. This is ½ of the scarf. Crochet the other half of the scarf in the same way. In the last row, connect to the first half of the scarf.

Finishing
Block the scarf.
