Granny Square Instructions: Make 17

Rnd. 1: With white, ch 5, join with a sl-st to form a ring. Ch3 for first dc, 2 dc in ring, Ch2 for corner, (3 dc in ring, ch 2) 3 times, join with a sl-st to top of starting ch. Fasten off.

Rnd 2: Join red at any corner, ch3 for first dc, in same space work 2 dc, ch 2, 3 dc, ch 1, (in next ch-2 corner work 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc, ch 1) 3 times, join with a sl-st to top of starting ch. Fasten off.

Rnd 3: Join navy at any corner, ch3 for first dc, in same corner work 2 dc, ch2, 3 dc, (ch1, 3 dc in next ch1 space, ch1, in corner work 3 dc, ch1, 3 dc) repeat ( ) 2 more times, end ch1, 3 dc in next ch1 space, ch1, join with a sl-st to starting ch. Fasten off.

Half Granny Square instructions: Make 2

Row. 1: With white ch3, join with a sl-st for form a ring. Ch5, 3 dc in ring, ch2, 3 dc in ring, ch2, dc in ring, Fasten off.

Row 2: Join red in first space, (ch5, 3 dc in same space, ch1, (3 dc, ch2, 3 dc) in next space, ch1, 3 dc, ch2, dc in last space. Fasten off.

Row 3: Join navy in first space, (ch3, 2 dc) in same space, ch1, 3 dc in next space, ch1, (3dc, ch2 3 dc) in next space, (ch1, 3 dc in next space) twice. Fasten off.

Join squares together following diagram .

Border: Join navy and work around coat evenly in sc. Working 3 sc in each outside corner and no stitches on inside corners.

Trim: Join white in upper left outside corner with a sl-st, sc in same st., skip one st, 5 dc in next st until 3^rd block, sc across 3^rd block. Sc in first stitch on 4^th block, skip next st, 5 dc in next st around to upper right inside corner of neck. Sc to first sc, join and fasten off.

Sew Velcro to wrong side of extending block and right side of co-ordination block trimmed in sc on the opposite side.

Sew another piece of Velcro to right side of left neck edge and wrong side of right neck edge for closing.
