Crochet Cowl Free Pattern

Crochet Cowl Free Pattern

I made this crochet cowl last summer using lace weight yarn.  I wanted to create a pattern that looks like knitting. It turns in a very warm scarf that also can be worn in the winter time. You can crochet a beanie, gloves and skirt using this pattern. NOTE: it takes so much yarn! :)

Materials:

Yarn: Alize Forever/Lace / 2 ply/100% Microfiber/328 yards / 50 grams – 6 skeins

Crochet Hook: 2.00 mm

Stitches Used: ch-chain, sl st-slip stitch, dc-double crochet, fpdc-front post double crochet, bpdc-back post double crochet. How to make fpdc and bpdc see here

Length: 21 in or 53cm

PATTERN:

Number of stitches: multiple of 14

Round 1: make a foundation dc, join with sl st to first dc. How to make a foundation dc see here
